Wellbeing Chllenge Team

Our Team

Nick Roberts
Nick is our lead parent and carer wellbeing practitioner.  As a behaviour change trainer, he has worked with over 6000 clients and his background in education and management of adventurous activities equips him with the skills to oversee this aspect of our work.
Nick has a BSc in Sports Science and an MSc in Psychology and is a member of the British Psychological Society.  He has worked in community development for over 20 years and was instrumental in the development of  HealthNet, South Tyneside's health forum.

Jill McManus
Jill leads on course development and project design and management. 
Jill trained in resilience education in a programme led by Martin Seligman at Pennsylvania University and subsequently taught the Penn Resilience UK course in schools and trained as a facilitator for their training programme in the UK.  She takes the lead in developing the resilience aspects of our programmes with families and adults.
Jill has wide experience of research with children, schools and families gained through post-graduate studies (MEd in Educational Development and PhD) and project evaluations.

  Michaela Wate
  Michaela leads on communications with course participants and organising activities.  She trained to deliver the         Bounce Forward resilience courses and is a lead tutor on our online and family courses. 
  Michaela is a professional contemporary dancer who has extensive experience of dance education and working with       youth and community projects.

     Andy Foreman
​     Andy leads on the creative and practical projects which are key components of our programmes for families and adults.  He       has developed the photography project which has become a highly successful part of our 5 Ways to Wellbeing       programme and designed a landscape art project which is an integral part of our family residential programme.
