Hyperjar

hyperjar.com was recommended to us as a way of helping kids learn about managing money while at the same time being able to keep an overview of how they are using their cards.  Most other 'pocket money' card accounts charge fees.  This one is free to users.

Happy self journal

This book was recommended to us as a good way of helping kids to express their feelings and as a way of opening up communication about things that can often get over-looked in normally everyday busy lives.

The link below takes you to the website where you can find out more and read reviews.  You can buy the books from here or from other booksellers.

Love languages

This is a link to an American website with quizzes you can do with your kids (or others).  The person who suggested it to us said that doing the quiz with her son was a fun way of talking about things and opening up communication.
The 5 'Love Languages' are about how we like to be shown that others care for us.  They are: receiving gifts, quality time, acts of service, physical touch and words of affirmation.

Click the link below if you want to have a go at these quizzes.
