Souter Allotment Blog

Better late than never...

28/6/2023

We always meant to start a blog to keep track of how things were going on the allotment.  What is being planted and harvested?  What work needs doing?
So finally here is a start.
The things that need doing at the moment are WEEDING and planting.  We have an infestation of very persistent bind weed which is very deep rooted and difficult to eradicate without using weedkiller - which we are not going to do.  So we just have to be more persistent than it is - and dig it out every time it starts growing again.  We have clear spaces to plant a few more things so we'll have a look at what we can plant tomorrow.
Right now we have some Lollo Rosso lettuces ready to eat and a few radishes.
