Moving on Tyne & Wear

Moving On Tyne and Wear

Our course for Moving On Tyne & Wear has five online sessions via Zoom and two face to face activity sessions.

Session 1
  • Introductions to course tutors, using Zoom, logging onto our website, and an outline of the course
  • Brief introduction to 5 Ways to Wellbeing
  • Discussion: what ‘health’ means to us

Session 2
  • Understanding Wellbeing (links between physical, social and mental health; stress)
  • 5 Ways to Wellbeing (Take Notice)

Session 3
  • Understanding Wellbeing (managing our health; diet and exercise; cycle of change)
  • 5 Ways to Wellbeing (Give)

Session 4
  • Group Activity
  • 5 Ways to Wellbeing (Be Active)

Session5
  • Resilience (link between problems, thoughts and feelings; thinking traps and challenging negative thoughts; assertiveness)
  • 5 Ways to Wellbeing (Connect)

Session 6
  • Group Activity
  • 5 Ways to Wellbeing (Keep Learning)

Session7
  • Review session to look at progress on personal goals and achievements with personal challenges and a look at additional on-line resources
