Out and About

Out and About is a project supported by Big Lottery Awards for All in 2022/23 and Inspire in 2024.
It supports families from South Tyneside to get 'Out and about' to try new activities, find new interests and have fun.  Great for building friendships and community spirit.

Update September 2024
The growing season is coming to an end now.  Just harvest a final few crops and then some tidying up to do before the winter.
 Update March 24
The weather has been so wet this winter we are a bit late getting started with our allotment.  Weekly visits will start again after Easter when it will be time to plant this year's potatoes and no doubt start weeding again!
Update June 23
Things are growing well - especially the weeds - now that we've had a bit of rain.  Delicious lollo rosso lettuce and radishes ready to eat and peas and potatoes are growing well.  The birds got most or the strawberries so we must remember to net them next year.  Lovely being near the sea - and quite a few sightings of dolphins.
